Life Post - Supanova Pop Culture Expo Perth 2012, random fun with friends
Hey everyone! It's been a really long time since I've done a blog post on my "normal" life. I find that it's a bit boring so didn't want to do any posts on it. However past few weeks have been... eventful for me I guess so I'll do one now!
So I guess one of the main things was taking part in Supanova Pop Culture Expo 2012 again. Supanova is a convention which now has expanded to Anime, Games, Comics etc. They travel through different cities of Australia (Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth). I've been to every single Supanova, and in my second year, I was lucky enough to meet the official photographer of Supanova, who has now become a great friend to me. Since then I've been helping out every year as the Official Photographer along with my friend for Supanova.
This year around 21,000+ people came to Supanova Perth, it was so crowded!
The day was great filled with many cosplayers too!
I have to say, this is the most amazing L cosplay I've ever seen! Along with Watari from Death Note.
Unfortunately since I'm now working at Supanova, I can't really cosplay as accessories get in the way of the camera gear :(
Also I would like to thank all my subbies/blog readers who came up to say hi to me at Supanova! I managed to take photos with one of you guys ^__^ Unfortunately I was super busy running around trying to cover events/pick up photos so didn't get to talk to you guys for a long time T_T I didn't expect anyone to say hi to me, not used to people recognizing me haha.
After Supanova, I was just so tired I crashed while everyone else was cleaning up haha.
So my friend Steven who is the other official photographer at Supanova only had another day in Perth, so my friend Henry and I decided to take him out to some places in Perth.
We went to Swan Valley!
had so much fun mucking around with those guys haha.
Quick OOTD photo?
I'm wearing Liz Lisa Spring 2011 dress, Liz Lisa Winter 2011 Jumper, Boots are from Shibuya109
We then met up with some friends to have ramen, yum!
And hung around the city to take more photos
It's too cold! can't smile! haha.
Anyway, I finally have things sorted out regarding my big news, I will post a bit about it tomorrow ^^

Write commentsI loved all the Mami cosplays - She's my favorite!! And I feel special to have gotten a photo, seems silly huh?! But it made my day even MORE special so THANK YOU KIM! <3
ReplyAhhh I'm so glad you didn't take any pics of me LOL, but at the same time it's a pity I got dolled up and have nothing to show for it xD I LOVED your outfit at Supanova Sunday, did I express that well enough? LOL, but really, SO cute. Even not in Liz Lisa you're a Liz Lisa poster girl! Inspiration for us all :D
Replysounds like you had fun... the big thing around here is nyaf and nycc, there aren't too many good cosplays though (not one myself, as i lack the talent and money >_>. swan valley is beautiful; makes me wish i was there, lol. you got some really nice shots too. you look cute even when you're not smiling...is it really that cold there? then again, i'm used to even colder temperatures, so maybe it'd seem warm only relative to what i'm used to. can't wait for the big news though... i think i've got bits and pieces of it, and if any of that is true, i'm really psyched for you. guess ill just have to wait for now, lol.
Replysupernova looked like great fun, didn't attend the melbourne one because I was too busy D;

ReplyI used a Nikon D7000 for most of these photos
ReplyIt's actually not too cold in Australia compared to other countries like the US, but yeah I'm not too used to cold weather since it's usually relatively warm here ^^
