Hey guys!
Thank-you so much for all your birthday wishes, I had a great birthday! ^_^ I'll blog about it a bit later, since I want to get all my San Francisco posts done!
Today I'm going to blog about day 1 at the San Francisco J-pop Summit Festival! For those of you who didn't know, Liz Lisa flew me to the United States to work in the Liz Lisa Pop-up store. They found me through my blog/youtube so I feel really lucky!
Look of the day~
Aino-san did my hair for me!
We then went to the New People store in JapanTown to set up~
Had breakfast in the cafeteria first
Her name is "Aino" but they wrote "I-know" instead? haha.
We then headed up to the Liz Lisa pop-store and did last minute preparations
Aino-san fixing up my hair for me
Taking photos before the store opened, lol.
The other girls getting ready
I was working with Aino and Hiroko, they're both Liz Lisa staff from Japan!
Group photos~
I didn't have any troubles working at the Liz Lisa store, in Australia I work in retail at a clothing store so I was doing pretty much the same thing I do in Australia, except with Liz Lisa clothes haha. All the customers were really lovely! Almost everyone I talked to commented on my Australian accent hahah.
I also got to meet some of my subscribers that came along to say hi to me! Unfortunately I couldn't get photos with all of you guys :( But I'm really grateful to everyone who said hi to me!
One of my subscribers who runs Melody Virus gave me one of the items she sells in her store ^_^
I also met a blogger Bouncy Brown!
I was given a break so I was allowed to walk around
And I met up with Wenjin!
I had ramen!
Wenjin and I actually have known eachother for about 6 years! haha. We met on Youtube again last year, so I'm really glad that I finally got to meet her!
I also met Shirley!! I met her on Youtube last year and she's been a great friend! I didn't get to hang out with them for long because I was working, but I was so happy to be able to finally meet them in person!
Shirley, Wenjin and I!
I was just soooo tired that day so I didn't take any photos during dinner. I only got 2 hours sleep the night before because I was so jetlagged :( And I also didn't get any sleep on the plane either.. The time difference was 16hours I think? so it was quite crazy T_T
Anyway, I'm going to finish off with a photo I took on that night of the City Hall.
I know I said I will try blog more often, but things have just gotten so busy for me. Work and uni have been really busy lately... but I will try my best!
I really hope they do something like this in Europe some time. Do you know if there will be more added to the Autumn/Winter line? I'm in Japan in December and I can only see a few things I want to buy.
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable as usual. I love the girl with the two side plaits, her hair is gorgeous! Serious hair envy going on.
i wonder if there will be a Liz Lisa store in Los Angeles? That would be so awesome! Sorry you were so tired. Being Jetlagged sucks!!! >_< Wish I could have been in SF to meet you. That would have totally made my year! hehehe. Hope you visit Los Angeles in the future. You should do a meetup! xoxo CHIE
ReplyDeleteoh i love the items...! did you have a lot of sales? if i had known earlier, i probs would have swapped my baltimore trip for this (did i say that already? lol) anyway, if liz lisa does another pop up in the US, i hope to hear about it, and i WILL take a plane flight, if needed; imo it's worth it. glad you got to meet so many people though. and i think your look is really sweet, the lip color is quite flattering. did i mention i just love the dress? hiroko is super cute... o///o and aino did an awesome job with her hair. truth be told, it took me a few seconds before i figured out i-know XD. happy belated kim :)
ReplyDeleteps, i wish they were hiring for clothing retail here; i've applied for several places, but alas, no dice D:
Liz Lisa should open in SF and have international shipping Lol...
ReplyDeleteIt was so nice meeting you! I wish we could of spend more time together. Well there is next time! :D Miss you!!!

There definitely will be more items added to the Winter line! Not sure about the Autumn line though ^^;; I think the new Winter line should be out around November?
ReplyDeleteNot sure but I know that they do want to push the brand into the states ^^;; I hope I can go to LA! I really want to go back to the states to travel more!
ReplyDeleteThe first day had a lot of sales, the second day not as much but it did quite well ^^
ReplyDeleteGetting a job in retail is really hard where I live too since it's really competitive :( I guess I'm really lucky to be able to get the job ><
They want to open up international shipping + being able to pay by paypal+credit card on their online shop soon ^^
ReplyDeleteIt was nice meeting you too! Hopefully I can stay longer next time I go!
ReplyDeleteIt was a great experience ^^
ReplyDeleteThank-you! <33
