27/08/12 - San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge & Sydney!
Hey everyone! This will be the last post of my San Francisco trip! After this I'm going to go back to finish blogging about my other two Japan trips so hopefully will get them all out soon before I leave for Japan again! haha.
Anyway, we had a free day in San Francisco so I went with the other Liz Lisa staff to go sight-seeing!
I think this is Union Square? We were going to go to the Golden Gate Bridge so we took the tram to go near the beach area.
There were lots of people in line
Train is coming~!
Shimizu-san was the one who contacted me to work with Liz Lisa
Photos from the tram
The girls on the tram~
and with the driver
I have to say that the roads in San Francisco... it feels like you're riding on a roller coaster when you're in a car lol. There are a lot of hills there!
We hired bikes to ride on the Golden Gate Bridge~
Ok so, I can't ride a bike, lol. I know it sounds pretty sad, but I never took my training wheels off my bike when I was a child, and in Australia not many people ride bikes on the road. So when the others said they will hire bikes, I was like... O_O serious?!? T__T hahaha. Luckily we were able to get 2 seater bikes so I sat on the back with Shimizu-san.
We stopped a few times on the way to take photos
Just before going on the bridge
Took my jacket off, lol
Awesome views!
On the bridge
After the bridge, we road into Sausalito. It was such a cute little town! All the buildings were so cute, it makes you feel like you're in the 80s or something hahaha.
This guy was balancing rocks
Trying to find a place to park our bikes was hard
I just wish we had more time to explore the place! T_T
We were really hungry so we decided to go eat at a nice little restaurant~
Food was really good and the service was great! I forgot the name of the restaurant though :(
After the food, we had to quickly take a ferry back to the other side since my flight was leaving in a few hours that night
On the ferry~
Just got back~
And on the plane from San Francisco to Sydney~!
The flight was really good! I got what I wanted, window seat and the seat next to me empty :P haha. Managed to sleep on most of the 14hour plane ride!
I've never travelled interstate before, lol. So Sydney is the first city in Australia I've been to besides my hometown. I only had about 3 hours in Sydney to transfer to my next flight, but Steven ended up meeting up with me to take me out for breakfast. He was in one of my blog posts a bit earlier in July here.
After coming back from America, just realized how different Australia is haha. It was definitely a bit weird for me seeing people drive on the right side of the road in America xD
Steven and I~
We just went to a small cafe for breakfast
I had to quickly leave for my flight :( But it was nice seeing Steven again since I usually only get to see him once a year! T_T I stocked up on a lot of Krispy Kremes before I went back to Perth too haha.
Anyway this is my last post for my San Francisco trip! it was a short but memorable one. Hopefully I can go back to America soon and explore some other cities!

Write commentswuaaaah it looks windy on the bridge! you girls looks so pretty! and your outfit is totally adorable.. with & without the coat :) nice pictures! I would love to visit the US again... :)
ReplyI'm glad you enjoyed your trip; I'd hate to think what you would think of the country had you not enjoyed it. San Fran looks so clean in those pics. I know trolleys are a big thing for tourists there; they don't really have them in other cities. You got some really nice photos; your hair looks so long. Oh, and don't feel bad about not being able to ride; around here only a handful of people ride in the streets (fortunately). I learned when I 7, but that was b/c my friends could ride, and it's something kids in the 90s liked to do (they still do, but not as much). It really annoys me when people ride in the street, I mean, it's like they're begging to get hit. I'm also a little surprised you have never been through the rest of Australia; I've been through about half the US. Then again, traveling is something my family likes to do... At least you got to see part of Sydney. If I end up going to Australia, I'll have seen more than you lol (but it's so expensive to go so I might not D:) If you do find time to visit the US again, I recommend NYC, particularly Manhattan. There isn't really a Japanese town that I know of, but there are lot of Japanese restaurants and markets and stuff. The flight would be much longer, or you'd have to take another connecting flight, but hey, it'll probably be worth it. Philly is also out that way, there is a lot to do around here (sorta). No hot Krispy Kremes though.
ReplyI've always thought San Francisco was a special city. Everytime I watch a movie with this city as background I wish I could be there ^-^

ReplyThank-you! It was quite an experience being on one! Though a bit awkward at first because they told me to stand and I was wearing a skirt haha >< I usually cut my hair once a year so my hair usually gets really long towards the end of the year xD Yeah, I used to like riding bikes when I was younger, just never took my training wheels off haha. And I really don't like people riding bikes on the road too, it makes me really angry while driving a car haha >< Yeah Australia is super expensive :( I was surprised at how cheap everything was in the US compared to here >< I really want to go to NYC and LA next time I go tothe US!
ReplyAww thank-you!
