01/02/12 - Tokyo Day 1 東京〜〜
Hey guys!I should be doing my assignment right now, lol but I really don't want to, and this blog post is going to be super short so I thought might as well do one now while I procrastinate :P I also found out that my "Latest Tweet" at the top doesn't work anymore, not sure why and I can't see anything wrong with the coding.. There probably is an eror on Twitter's end.. but oh well. I might change my blog layout soon, I've had it for about a year and starting to get a bit sick of it. Anywayyyyy
This post is going to be about the day I went from Osaka to Tokyo during my Japan trip at the beginning of this year. I stayed in Osaka for about a week, and we planned to be in Tokyo for about 2 weeks. Didn't want to leave Osaka though, I always enjoy Osaka more than Tokyo when I go to Japan! T_T I find that people are nicer and it is definitely A LOT less crowded which is nicer.
While in Osaka we stayed at Guest House Caminoro. I stayed there last year and loved it! So I decided to stay this year again. Definitely recommend this hostel if you guys are going travelling in Osaka.
With the owners of the hostel
Their baby is sooo cute!!
We gave her a little gift before we left!
Buying our coffee in the morning for the last time T_T
Lugging all our luggage to Tokyo was hard. This is one thing I hate about travelling..
Had to say bye to this place.. Was so sad to leave! I didn't know back then that I would be going to Japan in July lol.
We had to go to Shin-Osaka station and catch the Shinkansen (bullet train) to Tokyo
My Shinkansen ticket~
If you are travelling to Japan on a budget, you can catch a bus to Tokyo/Osaka which is 3 times cheaper than taking the Shinkansen, however it's a painful 8 hour ride.. I'd rather just pay and take the Shinkansen since I even start to feel annoyed during the 2.5hr train ride T_T
In Tokyo~
The JR Yamanote line.. 久しぶり
We were staying in Ikebukuro in Tokyo. We were super tired from our long trip so we decided to rest up at the hostel for a while before going out to dinner.
We walked around the streets of Ikebukuro for a while and came across First Kitchen. For those of you who don't know, Japanese people abbreviate a lot of things, they abbreviate "First Kitchen" to "Faa-kin" LOL. It's pretty funny, and that's why we decided to go eat there.
The food is actually pretty cheap and good!
After dinner, we pretty much went straight back to get an early night's sleep, but here are a few photos I took while walking back.
Ok, now I really better go and do my assignment :( Will try not to get distracted from now on until my assignment is due hahaha

the food does look pretty good, which is too bad b/c i'm a little hungry right now. totes know what you mean about assignments; i have one to finish by tomorrow, and it's SO much tedious work, >_<.
ReplyHopefully you can visit Japan someday!
ReplyYeah I just hate doing assignments, it took me ages to get mine done lol >< But then again I don't start my assignments until a few days before it's due so it's mostly my fault anyway haha. Hope you did well in your assignment!
