07/02/12 ~ Tokyo! Harajuku & Shibuya
Hey everyone!
It's been so long since I've blogged about my Japan trip (from last year haha). When I went to Japan this year, I didn't take many photos, maybe it's because I felt that I've already been there, done that, I felt that I would just be blogging about the exact same thing everytime I go to Japan. I did vlog quite a bit in Japan, I just have to get all the vlogs edited!
Things will be changing a lot for me this year, so that's why I haven't really been blogging/tweeting as much as I used to. I'm going onto my final semester at university now, so only about 4 more months left to go and I don't have to study anymore hahaha. Anyway, now that I'm back in Australia, I will work hard to try finish uni and also try make a lot of new videos! I want to try connect with you guys more this year, so will do my best!
Anyway, enough of me thinking about what I'm going to do in life lol. Today I'm going to show you guys photos of a day I spent showing one of my best friends around in Tokyo!
First I wanted to take them to Harajuku! It was a rainy day unfortunately :(
One of my favourite shopping places in Japan! Takeshita Dori!
First we went to Daiso which is a 100yen shop (except everything is 105yen cos of the tax, lol). They have some pretty cool stuff there though!
We went to Liz Lisa in Harajuku. Last year they had "Jugetta" upstairs from the Harajuku store, it's not there anymore though. "Jugetta" is another brand under the same company as Liz Lisa, the clothes are more aimed towards Otana Gyaru (girls who are around their mid 20s but still into gyaru)
We then met up with our friend Atsushi! He came to Perth and went to my university for a 2 week exchange program 3 years ago.
We went to an all-you-can-eat Okonomiyaki restaurant in Harajuku. I went here last year and really wanted to go back! It was only 1260yen a person and you also get a drink with it!
They had a lot of flavours you can choose from!
Atsushi tried to write "Tokyo" on it lol
Then he tried to write my last name "Dao" hahaha
We then also had Monjyayaki, it's a lot more runny than Okonomiyaki and you eat it straight from the hot plate
After lunch we decided to walk to Shibuya~ Harajuku is close to Shibuya so it's about a 15 minute walk.
Also we decided to walk because I needed to save money lol.
Shibuya!
Hachiko!
Shibuya109 were selling 109 cookies haha
Purikura!
That's all for now! I do have a few more Japan blog posts coming up so will get them done soon! After I'm done with all my Japan blog posts, if you guys have any topics in specific that you want me to cover about Japan please let me know and I will try cover them in my blog posts!
