12/02/12 - Shinjuku - Alice in Wonderland Cafe!

Hey guys!

I'm back with another Japan blog post! This time I'm going to be sharing with you guys my day in Shinjuku, Tokyo! I don't go to Shinjuku much, I've had bad experience around that area before (friends and I accidentally walked into Kabukicho at night the year before in Japan) so I don't go there much. However, when I was taking Joanna around Tokyo, she wanted to visit Shinjuku so we decided to go there to also meet our friend Saya, who studied in Perth a few years ago.

Since I took so many photos on this particular day, I'm going to split this blog post into 2 parts!

Saya & I ~

We met up at Shinjuku station, which is one of the busiest train stations in Japan. We didn't have any plans for the day, and since I don't know much about Shinjuku, I left it up to Saya to show us around haha.

First off we went to get some lunch. Saya took us to the Alice in Wonderland Cafe in Shinjuku! I was so happy she took us here, I've heard about Japan having these themed restaurants but I never thought about going to them since I thought they were expensive. However, looking at the prices of the food, it's actually cheap!

Menu they have outside:

And a massive picture spam of the display food they had! everything is SO cute!!

Waking into the restaurant~

Waiting for a seat~~

And going to our table! ISNT THE RESTAURANT SO FREAKING ADORABLE?!?

ITS SO PINK!!

Joanna and I went snap-happy with our cameras

MUST TAKE PHOTOS FROM EVERY ANGLE lol.

Some photos of the menu

I was expecting like $50 a dish, but most things are around $10-$15 here!

Saya & I with our salads lol

Our food has come!!

Mine~ I had the spaghetti

The plates are so cute too!!

Joanna with her food!

And our deserts!!

So cute!!!

Overall, I think the presentation of the food in this restaurant is excellent. The food itself, I'd say it's pretty average, however the food is all quite cheap so it's worth visiting this restaurant! You will love the atmosphere!

We got one of the staff to take a group photo for us~

All the staff are dressed up too! The girls dressed as Alice costumes!!

  1. It is so cute indeed ♥ Even the plates have suits on it, I love it! I just think the waitresses' uniforms need to be puffier and fluffier xD

  9. Hello! Firstly, I feel great honored to step into your beautiful blog. Besides, I love your excellent photos you provide. Nowadays, more and more people are buying their favourite cosplay costumes in the on-line stores, such as Moviescostume, Fandomsky and other stores to play their most loved characters in the cosplay shows. That is really cool and impressive. So, why do not you do something like that ?
