Shu Uemura The Lightbulb Foundation Review
Hi everyone! For those who have been following for a while would know that my favourite foundation is the Shu Uemura Face Architect Foundation. Last year Shu Uemura released a new foundation called "The Lightbulb". I picked it up from Singapore Changi airport when I was coming back from Paris last year. I got it in 774 Light Beige.
The foundation came inside a big box, since it also came with it's own beauty blender.
The foundation box:

Coverage:
I had eyeliner on my hand and covered it with the foundation. As you can see the foundation has great coverage.
Applying the foundation:
As you can see the coverage is really good

Final verdict:
I do like this foundation, however I would rather stick to my Shu Uemura Face Architect foundation. While this foundation has improved in some ways, I find it to cakey for my liking. The coverage is great so if you're someone that wants more coverage, this would be perfect for you. The beauty blender is great and blends really well, however I don't find myself using it much since it's more time consuming (I just usually use my fingers to blend), and washing it is kinda hard. But anyway!
Pros:
- Great coverage
- Doesn't break me out
- Comes with a blender which works well
- Looks great on Asian skin
Cons:
- Expensive
- Too cakey for my liking

Write commentsThat is actually really impressive coverage. I wonder if there's a concealer like that cause that would be amazing.
ReplyThe coverage is awesome:o though I hate cakey foundations :p plus I don't need that much coverage luckily, I can stick to using just a tiny bit of light cc cream! I have to read the review on that other Shu Uemura foundation you like so much!:) (you most probably have a review on it)
ReplyAs Bunny.Berri said, a concealer like this foundation would be cool though!
Thanks for the review!:3
Yeah the coverage is great! But yeah I do feel it's a bit too cakey for me. I don't really need much coverage as well so maybe that's why I think it's a bit too cakey haha. I do have a review on the Shu Uemura face architect one up on my blog, that one is still my favourite foundation!
